Degree Audit RFP: Our Approach and Commitment to Student Success
As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the student experience and supporting timely degree completion, we are excited to share an update on our approach to the Degree Audit Request for Proposal (RFP). This initiative is a key step in modernizing our academic planning tools and ensuring students have clear, accessible pathways to graduation.
Objectives Centered on Student Success
The primary goals of the degree audit project are to:
- Empower students with intuitive tools to track their academic progress.
- Support advisors and faculty with accurate, real-time data to guide students effectively.
- Streamline administrative processes to reduce barriers and improve efficiency.
- Ensure transparency in degree planning and completion.
By aligning our systems with these objectives, we aim to create a more supportive and navigable academic journey for every student.
A Multi-Pronged Approach to Stakeholder Engagement in the RFP Process
To ensure the RFP reflects the diverse needs of our campus community, we took a multi-pronged approach to gathering input:
- Stakeholder Consultations: We solicited RFP requirements from stakeholders across undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. This included advisors, faculty, and administrative leaders who work closely with students at every stage of their academic journey.
- Campus-Wide Surveys: We distributed surveys to students, faculty, and staff to gather broad-based feedback on current challenges and future needs.
- Follow-Up Conversations: For those who indicated interest in deeper engagement through the survey, we conducted follow-up meetings to better understand their perspectives and incorporate their insights into the RFP.
This inclusive process helped us build a comprehensive set of requirements that reflect the real-world needs of our academic community.
